An old man ordered 15 bottles of mineral water every day. It seemed strange to me, so I contacted the police. What we discovered left us speechless.
I’ve been working as a delivery driver for two years, and a few months ago, I encountered a rather strange situation. An elderly man in his sixties was ordering 15 bottles of 20 liters of mineral water every day.
At first, I thought it was just a one-time excess, but soon it became a routine: he ordered the same thing every day.
What struck me was that he lived alone in a small, isolated house. I couldn’t figure out what he could possibly be doing with all that water.
One day, out of curiosity, I decided to ask him. He smiled mysteriously and didn’t answer, which only intrigued me more.
Over time, my surprise turned into worry. I couldn’t find any logical explanation, so I decided to contact the police.
The next morning, an officer and I went to his house. He greeted us warmly, as if nothing was unusual, and invited us in.
What we discovered inside completely stunned me. I had imagined many scenarios, but nothing had prepared me for what we found there.

The old man explained that he knew the people in the neighborhood didn’t have access to drinking water.
Every day, he ordered water and asked the children in the neighborhood to distribute it.
Moved, the officer asked him why he had never spoken about his generous act.
The old man simply replied, “I don’t need anyone to talk about me. As long as people have water, I’m happy.”
This quiet gesture was his way of contributing.
A former soldier, he knew better than anyone the value of water.
